Dawn Konetsky, pictured front right of centre, is Ladies captain for Dawlish & District Indoor Bowls Club.
She comments: “We had our Ladies day on 14th November, which was a great success. The emphasis was on fun and nobody was allowed to take proceedings too seriously! We had 15 ladies attend and devised three different ways of playing! We ended by using the opposite hand from normal play, which was very tricky! Everyone enjoyed the afternoon. Refreshments followed this fun event, which is always a great way to socialise with fellow members. My thanks to Fred Baker, our token ‘man’, for his valuable assistance.
“We are having a further event on 12th December for the Ladies to celebrate an early-ish Xmas. Dress code is completely optional provided it has a Xmas theme. The mind boggles”!
