The club recently received an anonymous donation of £1000, which came out of the blue, and one we are all very grateful for. The money will be very useful to the club as it continues to move forward.

Dawlish Indoor Bowls has had solar panels installed recently, just one of many improvements, and the money will be very useful in going towards our energy costs.

The committee are continually looking at other innovative ways to improve the facilities for its members.

Colin Parker, club Chairman said that Dawlish Indoor Bowls are now being recognised as a progressive club by winning the Parrott Trophy. He went on to mention that Andrew Moore and Jordan Kingshot had represented Devon in the under-35’s National competitions recently, and in the singles, pairs, and triples our players are holding their own against international players.

As Colin mentioned, just last year Dawlish Indoor Bowls won the prestigious “Parrott Trophy”, quite a coup as Dawlish were thought of as the underdogs of the competition. The club are again doing well in various competitions this season, and are hosting 3 Riviera Bowls Tournaments.

Membership this season has increased by 20%, a clear indication that Dawlish Indoor Bowls is getting a name as the place to play indoor bowls in the local area.

Thank you for the donation, whoever you are!
