Dawlish Indoor Bowls Club recently held their celebration dinner and awards ceremony at The Langstone Cliff Hotel.
An impressive list of winners and runners up were honoured during the evening, witnessed by the 50 members and guests who attended the event.
A very special thanks must go to men’s Captain, Colin Parker, who put in a tremendous effort throughout the entire season, organising and managing the demanding fixtures timetable.
Amongst the winners were Marc Baker (left), Men’s Singles Champion, who received his trophy from his father, Fred, the Men’s Vice-Captain. A nice gesture!
Debbie Coyles (right) received her award as Ladies 2-Wood Champion from Club President, Iris Joyce.
Mixed Triples Champions, Tina Rowe, Fred Baker & Peter Hayes were also honoured by Iris.
Last, but not least, a busy Iris awarded the Ladies ‘100 Up’ Winners trophy to Dawn Konetsky and Jean Pitts.
The evening concluded with a very successful raffle, all prizes being donated by members of the club. The raffle raised a total of £260; a significant helping hand towards the club’s endeavours next season!
