Dawlish and District Indoor Bowls Club (DIBC) are hosting several Open Singles and Open Pairs Competitions this season, this time an Open Pairs. All of these competitions are organised through Riviera Bowls.

The next event, the Open Pairs, takes place on Sunday, 11th January 2026, starting at 9.30AM. This time round we have quite a selection of home players taking part. We have pairings of Debs Kettley and Steph Cheshire, Marc Baker and Lee Wooldridge, Dave and Richard Chappell, as well as Colin Parker and Brian Maskell. There are also a selection of other great bowlers from around the county in the mix.
Each pair are guaranteed a minimum of 2 games, playing 2 sets of 5 ends each in 3 groups of 3. Group winners will advance to next round. The 3 Group winners then play a mini 5 end round robin to determine the overall winners.
Prize money for the winners are £85, the runners-up get £40 and 3rd Place gets £25. All winners also gain points towards a season finale.
The stardard of play is expected to be high, so please come along and support the players. Viewing games at Dawlish Indoor Bowling Club is all the better now with seating at the ends of the rinks, as well as adjacent to the entrance. There will again be food and drink available to purchase.
There will also be another Open Singles competition on Sunday 8th March 2026, so look out for further details of this event nearer the time.
At the end of the Indoor Bowls season there’s an overall finals day, the highest ranking players invited to come and compete to become the season winners.
