Dawlish and District Indoor Bowls Club (DIBC) have won the County Charles Parrott Trophy 2025.
On Saturday, 5th April 2025, Dawlish Indoor Bowls Club men’s 2×4 team claimed victory in the final of the Devon County Charles Parrott (Unbadged) Competition, played at the Torbay Country Club Indoor Arena.

From a competitive field of 13 teams at the outset, our side faced a determined Torquay United team in the final. The Dawlish men dug deep in what proved to be a tightly contested match. At one point, Dawlish held only a narrow 2-point lead, but the team held their nerve and rallied together to pull ahead in the closing stages.
On rink 2; Kelvin Carter, Colin Parker, Trevor Lobb, and Richard Chappel had a challenging game and were defeated 12:22. However, their determined performance and hard-earned points were vital to the team’s overall success.

Rink 3 saw a commanding performance from Lee Wooldridge, Dave Chappel, Andrew Moore and Marc Baker, who posted an excellent score of 32:11. Their strong showing ensured Dawlish secured an overall victory with a combined score of 44:33.

Tina Rowe (Publicity Officer) reports, “This result reflects the club’s depth of talent, camaraderie, and team spirit. With players ranging in age from 19 to 81, it was truly an intergenerational success and a proud moment for the club”.
