Monday Ladies 2-Wood Umbrella – Rules
1- Skips and Leads will be selected from the list. Teams will then be picked with one of each. This will happen for every game you play.
2- If there’s an odd number it will be first out the bag to play (this might have to be altered if the same Lady is always the odd one, but we will sort this if this happens (this will be very unlikely – hopefully we can do it fairly).
3- With this format pairs will play an 18 end game – 2-woods each player. If we have 2 ladies extra we would make 2-wood triples but they would play 12 ends only, the same amount of woods per team (72 in total). If there are too many ladies – not a problem as there’s plenty of time for 2 sessions.
4- Scoring – Both winners will get the amount they score and runner-ups will get there’s. I will keep a chart on our board and try and keep this updated for all to follow. If the jack goes out of rink whilst playing an end the team not at fault will get 2 points and that end is finished.
Notes:-
I would like everyone to arrive 15 minutes before we start to give us enough time to do the draw (we cannot wait for late arrivals).
If by any chance we have more skips than leads (or the other way around) we shall draw out of the hat to see who will have to change position (if necessary).
This is the first time of playing this competition so please be patient and we will cope with any problems if and when they arise. Please enjoy this game and hopefully we can make it a bit of a ladies social. It would be great to get together and have a drink and a chat afterwards, but this is of course up to the individual.
